Kiedy myślę o gwiazdach rocka,
jedną z osób, które mam przed oczami jest Keith Richards, członek legendarnego
zespołu the Rolling Stones (jednego z moich ulubionych). Wiadomo, muzycy
rockowi kojarzą się głównie z imprezami, podrywaniem dziewczyn, alkoholem i
narkotykami. Mało kto zauważa, że są oni ludźmi takimi jak my, którzy borykają
się z różnymi problemami. Autobiografia „Life” jest właśnie o tym – z jednej
strony pokazuje pasjonujące życie żywej legendy rocka, która przeżyła wiele
niesamowitych przygód, a z drugiej strony przedstawia zwykłą osobę, która ma
olbrzymie problemy rodzinne, stara się ułożyć życie po swojemu, poszukuje
nowych wyzwań i miłości. Ta szalona opowieść szalonego człowieka porusza wiele
trudnych tematów, ale momentami, jak sam Keith, jest przezabawna. Swobodna
narracja bohatera jak i zdjęcia z prywatnej kolekcji tylko dodają książce
autentyczności. Polecam zarówno fanom jak i nie- fanom the Rolling Stones!
When I think about rock stars, the first person
that comes to my mind is Keith Richards, member of the legendary Rolling Stones
(one of my favourite bands). It goes without saying that we all associate rock
musicians with parties, girls, alcohol and drugs. Only few of us notice that
they are the same people as we are, with the same kinds of problems. This is
what autobiography Life is about –on one hand, it shows a passionate life of the living
legend of rock’n’roll and his numerous unbelievable adventures and on the other
it describes a normal person with big family problems who tries to live in his
own way and looks for new challenges and love. This crazy story of the crazy
guy deals with many difficult issues, but can also be really funny, as Keith
himself. Cool narration and photos from a personal collection only add
authenticity to the book. I highly recommend it to both fans and non-fans of
the Rolling Stones!
